Minister Dunsin Oyekan was born on the 5th of November 1984, in Ilorin, Nigeria, as the only son of the Gbadebo Oyekan family. He passed through the Air Force Nursery and Primary School in Ilorin. After completing his primary education, he proceeded to the Federal Government College in Ilorin for his secondary education. Later, he continued his studies at the Baptist Model High School, Ilorin.

Following his secondary education, Dunsin Oyekan enrolled at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, where he pursued a degree in Industrial Chemistry. Although his wife, Adedoyin Oyekan, is late, Minister Dunsin Oyekan was married to her and is blessed with two lovely children. Their union took place on the 2nd of February 2013, and unfortunately, he lost his wife to the cold hands of death on the 18th of May 2019.

Dunsin Oyekan is the only son of Pastor Gbadebo Oyekan, a pioneer of the Pentecostal move in Nigeria, and his father served as the General Overseer of the Evangelical Baptist Church. Dunsin Oyekan follows the Christian faith and is associated with the Evangelical Baptist Church.

Dunsin attended Airforce Nursery and Primary School in Ilorin, Federal Government College in Ilorin, and Baptist Model High School in Ilorin before pursuing his higher education at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, where he studied Industrial Chemistry.

Minister Dunsin's musical journey began at a tender age when his father, who loved music and songwriting, encouraged him to learn to play the guitar. This early influence sparked Dunsin's passion for music, leading him to start singing and playing the guitar at the age of 10.

As of now, Minister Dunsin has evolved into a versatile music producer proficient in playing various musical instruments, including the guitar, keyboard, and drums. Over the years, he has released approximately 14 debut albums and more than thirty songs that have significantly blessed individuals, including pastors, youths, and teenagers.

Dunsin's musical prowess is not limited to his solo career. He served as the music director of the Crystal Award-winning choir, The Avalanche of COZA, for many years. His debut album, "Code Red," featuring 14 tracks, was released in 2016. Among his notable songs is the popular hit "Na You," where he collaborated with American Gospel music icon Kim Burrell.

Throughout his career, Dunsin Oyekan has shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Tasha Cobbs, Kurt Carr, Don Moen, Byron Cage, Tye Tribbett, William Murphy, Kim Burrell, Sinach, Tasha Page-Lockhart, Frank Edwards, and Freke Umoh, to mention a few.

Fondly referred to as "the Eagle," Dunsin is not just a musician; he is a worshipper with a mission. He is the convener of the Code Red Worship Event, spanning nine successful editions, and The Healing Room Worship Event.
