Born on August 27, 1978, in Lagos State to Mr. and Mrs. Bassey, Minister Nathaniel Bassey's roots trace back to Ikot Ofon Ikono, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. Growing up in a devout Christian home led by his father, Mr. Joshua Bassey, a Pastor of the Apostolic Church, Bashua Assembly, he was instilled with strong Christian values from an early age.

Minister Nathaniel Bassey, now a family man himself, is happily married to Sarah Bassey, and together they are blessed with two wonderful children.

His educational journey includes completing primary and secondary education in Lagos, Nigeria. Subsequently, he pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Lagos (Unilag), focusing on Urban and Regional Planning. Expanding his horizons, Minister Nathaniel Bassey gained admission to the University of London to study Politics and International Relations, leading him to relocate to London for further academic pursuits.
