The Waiting Room of God

 

Anchor Scripture:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

Who knows what a waiting room is? 

What exactly goes on in a waiting room?

Exactly! Individuals take turns in a waiting room, the main action we do in a waiting room is to "WAIT". In hospitals, even though we already have appointments, we still have to wait until it is our turn, when we go for counselling we still have to wait in line for our turn to see the counsellor.

This is not different from God's Waiting Room. You see fam, the waiting room of God is not exactly easy. 

The only thing we are aware of is that God will answer each and every one of us but we do not know when he will. 

Is it in 5 years or 10 years, we have no idea and that is the challenging part.

 And to be honest:

•  It takes the Word of God to strenghten us while we are waiting on the Lord for our own answers. 

•  It takes the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for us to survive while waiting.

Now to you, i do not know what you are waiting on the Lord for; i do not know what you are asking the Lord for, neither do i know what exactly is making you shed tears every night.

But what i have for you this morning is this:

"Stop worrying; instead make it your sole priority to trust God" 

"Or else the devil will distract you from God and attract you to him by bringing to you alternatives that you will forever regret".

What i have for you this morning is: 

"Look up unto the Lord while you are waiting, because he is the author and finisher of your faith"

He said in his Word: 

"I knew thee before ye were born; i formed thee in the womb"

You need to realize that every ones timing is different; "Do not use the timing of some one else to run the race of your life" instead focus on the timing of the Lord because only his is the best for you. 

We need to realize that our timing is irrelevant, the timing of the society is completely irrelevant as well, only the timing of the Lord should be of utmost importance.

If we say that the timing of the Lord is too far and decide to follow the timing of ourselves then we have every reason to be anxious and worried,

 

But if you decide to follow the timing of your Lord your God then i will advise you to "wait". 

Brethren in the house WAIT, trust me it pays to wait on the Lord. It might not be easy, but it definitely pays off.

"Be anxious for nothing; but in everything, in prayers, supplication and thanksgiving make your request known to God.

While waiting: PRAY.

While waiting: WORSHIP.

While waiting: PRAISE.

While waiting: GIVE THANKS.

Prayer: Abba Father, give me the grace to wait patiently on you and to completely trust your timing in Jesus name.
