His spiritual journey began at a young age when he got born again during a Sunday School session as a child.
During his secondary school days, he encountered a mentor who guided him in formulating a quiet-time timetable and taught him the basics of Christian character. From an early age, Apostle Selman demonstrated an unwavering love for God, drawing attention for his inclination towards spiritual matters.
As a teenager, he preferred studying the Bible alone to playing with peers, indicating a deep understanding of the basics of the Christian faith. At a point, he and four friends, fueled by faith, witnessed extraordinary manifestations of God's power in their school, including the healing of a stammerer.
Despite facing challenges and being labeled with heresies, Apostle Selman's spiritual journey took a significant turn on December 2nd, 2002. In a profound encounter, someone tapped him on the hand while he slept, and upon awakening, he knew it was Jesus. This marked his first encounter with Christ, leading to a deep recommitment for the Master's use. Subsequently, he had dreams of ministering in the university and began experiencing encounters with heavenly personalities and notable apostles of God.
Although limited information is available about his primary and secondary education, Apostle Selman pursued his tertiary education at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria, where he studied Chemical Engineering. Even during his undergraduate years, he actively engaged in ministry, preaching, and sharing the gospel with fellow students.
This period of his life laid the foundation for his impactful ministry and the profound revelations he shares with a global audience today.
Journey Into Ministry
Apostle Joshua Selman's ministry journey began during his time at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria. His hunger for God intensified, leading him to frequent prayer sessions at the dam where he sought divine revelation about his purpose in life. In a significant vision, he saw a tower resembling a university hostel, and before it, a vast multitude of people crying and pleading for food and water. Feeling deep compassion, he realized he held the key to their needs and declared his intention to rectify their situation. This vision marked the moment he knew God had called him to be a preacher and minister.
One of his most impactful encounters occurred when Jesus Christ appeared to him, extending His hand and enveloping him in a great beam of light. This encounter ushered in a heightened level of anointing and understanding of the Word.
Apostle Joshua Selman, along with his friends, took advantage of opportunities to share the love of Jesus with their fellow students during their university days. They preached at every available program, demonstrating God's power through prophetic words, healing the sick, and performing miracles.
Driven by the powerful anointing upon him and guided by the Holy Spirit, Apostle Selman wasted no time in establishing a ministry named Eternity Network International, also known as KOINONIA, in Zaria, Kaduna State, in March 2011. In the same year, the ministry organized a program called KOINONIA, which continues to be a weekly event held every Sunday. The term "Koinonia," a Greek word, translates to "Christian fellowship or communion, with God or, more commonly, with fellow Christians."
KOINONIA serves as a medium for worship, love, miracles, sharing, and listening to the Word of God, fostering true intimacy with the Holy Spirit. It has become a source of miracles and blessings, evident in the testimonies of individuals who have attended the program.
